"We are a local gymnastics club based in Waterlooville, who aim to provide a safe and fun environment for our gymnasts to reach their full potential.
Our gymnasts are aged 3-16 Years and train from 45mins – 4 hours per week.
We are a friendly club and have a very strong community spirit ensuring all our members feel valued and included."
"Our gymnastics classes not only teach children gymnastics skills, but also provide strong foundations developing things such as co-ordination, balance, strength and confidence, all helping to promote active and healthy futures.
Gymnasts begin from the age of 3 in our Intro to Gymnastics classes, from here they move on to our General Gymnastics programme and as they progress further, they transition into our Advanced Gymnastics programme.
We offer those who wish to compete the chance to enter competitions at a suitable level for their ability.
The aim of our competitive programme is participation and gaining experience rather than high performance.
All members of the club also get the opportunity to test out their skills at our annual club championships.
We also have a display team, which consists of gymnasts who prefer to perform rather than compete.
They work as a team to put together their routine of acrobatics, dance and tumbling which they then perform at national festivals across the country.
They most recently performed at the London Festival of Gymnastics in Brentwood, Essex."
"The club is proud to have a leadership academy offering young people aged 11+ a pathway into coaching gymnastics.
Our young leaders follow the British Gymnastics leadership academy programme, where they are required to complete tasks and volunteering hours as they shadow the coaching team.
The programme has been very successful, and we have had several young people complete their first coaching qualifications.
We are very grateful that Havant Borough Sports Association have supported these young coaches with funding, allowing them to complete these valuable qualifications.
If you have an interest in coaching, we are always looking for new young leaders to get involved at the club.
This not only helps grow our gymnastics community, but is helping local young people develop valuable life skills and work experience in a safe and friendly environment."
"Our classes run from Cowplain Activity Centre and Oaklands Catholic School.
If you are interested in trying gymnastics or joining our club, you can find all the information you need and our class timetable on our website - www.solentgymnastics.co.uk."
