"Waterlooville Bowling club is based in Jubilee Park Waterlooville and was established in 1933. It has progressed from being a game played on grass to a game played on carpet meaning it can be played all year round! The only time it cannot be played is when there is thick ice, or snow. Members are used to wearing their long johns!!"
"Five years ago the club had a vision of modernising the facilities, and in 2019 a new playing carpet was installed and in 2020 the club house was extended thanks to funding from Havant Borough Council, Sports England and Hampshire County Council. It now has locker rooms 3 times the size with fully compliant disabled facilities and a well laid out meeting room upstairs which the club would be willing to hire out."
"Playing Bowls has many health benefits and is recommended by health professionals as it improves fitness, co-ordination and skill development. It increases confidence and mental wellbeing as well as the opportunity to make new friends and have fun! The aims of Waterlooville Bowling Club are for players to enjoy bowling in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere."
"Before the pandemic the club was in the process of organising games for juniors. Boys Brigade, Scouts and Guides had attended for a few sessions and loved it. The idea was to begin a junior section with training aids purchased from the funding awarded to the club by the Havant Sports Association. As soon as we are allowed we this will be pursued. We already have the Guides contacting us to ask when it will start!!"
"We welcome new players and will be offering taster sessions as soon as the Covid restrictions allow. Give it a go and get fitter and have fun! Contact us. Our website: waterloovillebowling.club Facebook: WBC bowls email: email@example.com Club mobile: 07823 887623"
